Last week’s challenge was to give or throw away as many unnecessary items as you could in 30 minutes.
This week, I want to challenge you to declutter your inbox.
What you will need: a computer
What to do:
- Login to your email address. If you have more than one email address, just pick the most cluttered on. As per usual, set a timer for 30 minutes.
- Quickly go through your inbox and take inventory. What emails do you ignore the most? Create your plan of action. What kind of emails are they? Subscriptions? Shopping accounts?
- Choose 5-7 email subscriptions that don’t add value to your life. Take the time to go through the steps to unsubscribe from these emails, right now.
- Make a plan to do this on a regular basis. If you spend 30 minutes every week or two unsubscribing to useless email lists, your inbox will become less and less cluttered and the important emails you receive will be less likely to get buried and overlooked!
It’s important to use a computer for this challenge if you have one. Some email lists require multiple steps to unsubscribe, which takes more time if you are on a phone. You will be able to unsubscribe to more email lists if you are able to do so from a computer!
