Weekend Challenge #2

Last week, I challenged you to take a few minutes of your weekend to think about the time suckers in your life. I hope you were able to benefit from an honest discussion with yourself about the things you need to cut back on or cut out of your life!

This week, I present to you:

The 30-minute Give It/Toss It Challenge

What you will need: Trash bags!

What to do:

  1. First, pick a room – any room, and go there. If you want to be really challenged, pick the room you dread most when it’s time to clean. Then, take your trash bags and go there! Once you’re in the room with trash bags in hand, set a timer for 30 minutes.
  2. Create your plan of action. Where will you start? Choose quickly and jump in!
  3. This is the hard part. Throw away or donate as many items as you can in 30 minutes. If you’re weird and nerdy like me, you might find it fun to keep tallies on a notepad or something. When you’re done, take the trash bag(s) to your dumpster and the donate bag(s) to your car!
  4. Feel better!

If you have the time, go ahead and take those donate items to the thrift store, a church, or wherever you like to donate — right now. Otherwise, they probably will be in your car for the next mphmhmmm weeks or months.
